To the Editor:
On Thursday you published an article ("Students still feel safe despite recent incidents," Feb. 23) wherein several named students claimed that they do not lock their doors because they aren't worried about safety. Urban survival skills alert! If you leave your door unlocked, don't advertise it in the newspaper. The point of this story could have been made equally effectively by omitting the students' names. I find it ironic that a story on campus safety was essentially irresponsible regarding the safety of these students.
