To the Editor:
If, in the article "Police charge senior" [January 6], the writer meant only to state that the charge against Vikram Srimurthy was the first alleged sexual assault reported since the incident in the River Cluster last fall, he should have stated so clearly. As written, ["Srimurthy's arrest occurred two months after a female allegedly awoke in her room in the River cluster to find an unidentified male in her bed, with his pants down and a condom wrapper on the floor."], the article suggests that there is some connection between the two incidents. The description of the River Cluster incident is sensational and should be treated far more cautiously than it was.
