ABC is in the business of raising the dead. The network revivified the prime-time game show with "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," and now it's trying to do the same for the variety hour with "The Wayne Brady Show." But the primary concern for ABC, still crashing from the initial "Millionaire" high, is breathing new life into itself.

The men's and women's crew teams posted impressive results in the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta this past weekend, with the men coming up short of first place twice by a few seconds, and the women performing well despite being dealt an unlucky draw.

You know, with every week that goes by I just can't help but fall more and more in love with Dartmouth. My roommate pointed out a poster tacked up on one of the bulletin boards in Mid Mass -- and what it said, well, it just made me proud to be attending this fine institution. The level of activism that occurs on this campus to further the general good and to cater to the needs of the oppressed is just absolutely stunning -- unparalleled. Mind-blowing. This is what the poster said:

Last week, a USA Today reporter and an Israeli government official sought a place to hold an informal interview. Walking down Jaffa Street on a busy Thursday noontime, they looked at the Sbarro restaurant but rejected it, for it was too crowded, full of hungry tourists and families who had seen the green, white and red sign known the world round for quality Italian food. A man walked into the restaurant with a pouch at his waist, asked a clerk about how long a take-out order of spaghetti would take, then detonated a bomb that killed 15 people outright and wounded dozens more.
