Daily Debriefing
Back to School time is not only a busy time for students, but apparently for condom companies as well. Jim Daniels, vice president of marketing at Trojan listed the back-to-school season as a good time for recruiting young customers in an article for The New York Times. Companies such as Trojan and Durex are diversifying marketing strategies in order to attract the attention of young buyers. Trojan has also increased its online and in print fall-advertising in order to reach schools that will not allow Trojan on-site for programming. On Tuesday, the company released a Sexual Health Report Card in which 100 randomly selected public and private schools were ranked on how they provided sexual health information to their students. Yale University placed first and Brigham Young Univeristy finished last while Dartmouth came in 63rd place.
