Editor’s Note: Green Key Special Issue 2025

This Green Key Special Issue goes through the keyhole.

As the Cheshire Cat once said, “I’m stranger. You’re stranger. Together, we are … strangers.”

We, the editors of the Green Key Special Issue, have prepared a dizzying array of stories to help you look at Dartmouth “Through the Keyhole.” From spring hikes to Fizz postings, from the Hop to Summit, this issue explores the everyday Dartmouth experience as you’ve never seen it before.

Have you ever wondered why food in Hanover is so expensive? Pondered the wacky history of “the Sack,” Hacky Sack? Contrariwise, have you contemplated what Dartmouth was doing during the Revolutionary War? Well, if you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.

So peer through the keyhole with us. Because, if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn’t, it ain’t. And that’s logic. Begin at the beginning. Go on until you come to the end. And then stop.

Enjoy,

Jackson, Iris and Yaniya
