January 20, 3:10 p.m.

S. Main Street

A female student who was suspected of shoplifting $300 of merchandise from JuliAna's Boutique on Jan. 17 was arrested by Hanover Police. One of the store's employees filed a complaint the day of the incident, but Hanover Police was unable to identify the suspect until three days later, when she re-entered the store. The student was arrested that evening after Hanover Police confirmed that she had committed the theft. Her court date is scheduled for March 2.

January 24, 2:25 a.m.

Webster Avenue

A Hanover Police officer on patrol observed a female lying alone in the snow. The 16-year-old female was visiting her sister, a Dartmouth student. The female had been on Webster Avenue with her sister and a group of friends, and appeared to be highly intoxicated when she was approached by the police officer. The visitor was arrested for unlawful possession of alcohol and has a court date set for March 2.

January 24, 3:53 a.m.

Tuck Drive

Hanover Police received a complaint from a female walking on Tuck Drive that a male had flashed his genitals at her. The unidentified white male was driving a silver car, but the police were unable to locate the individual or the car. This case is no longer under investigation.

January 25, 10:39 p.m.

School Street

A Hanover Police officer on patrol noticed a barefoot male sprint out of Stinson's Village Store towards School Street. As the temperature was very low at the time, the officer noted this as suspicious behavior and approached the male, who was later identified as a 25-year-old Dartmouth graduate student. The student, who was highly intoxicated, claimed that he was picking up cigarettes. As he was of age, no arrest was made. Hanover Police instead transported the student to his apartment and spoke with his roommate.

January 26, 10:22 a.m.

East Wheelock Street

Hanover Police received a report from an Alumni Gym employee that a male Dartmouth student had earlier attempted to access pornography on one of the public computer terminals in the gym. The student has not yet been identified, but is said to be white and in his late teens or early twenties. The suspect may have also committed theft at Hanover High School on the morning of the incident. This case is still under investigation by Hanover Police.
