Oct. 4, Occom Ridge Road, 8:11 p.m.

Local residents called Hanover Police to investigate some suspicious people wearing suits and standing in the middle of the road for no apparent reason. The officer discovered that the suspicious people were merely students waiting for a ride to a fraternity social function.

Oct. 5, Dewey Field Road, 5:16 p.m.

The College reported that an Apple Powerbook was stolen from room 107 in Thornton Hall sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Oct. 7, Tuck Mall, 3:06 a.m.

Dartmouth Safety and Security requested police assistance in subduing two intoxicated male students who refused to go to Dick's House. The police charged the junior and freshman with unlawful possession of alcohol.

Oct. 7, Webster Avenue, 5:07 a.m.

On the lookout for a suspect in an assault case, police officers stepped into Phi Delta Alpha fraternity, and in an unrelated turn of events, they came upon a partially-naked 21-year-old male student passed out on the stairwell. When the police officers tried to arouse the student, who was lying on his back with his head near the top of the stairs, he became agitated and tried to fight with the police officers, who eventually were forced to restrain him with pepper spray. Charged with resisting detention, the senior was taken into protective custody. As for the assault case that originally led the officers to Phi Delt, the case involved a junior male who was fighting with his cousin. Neither party wanted to press charges.

Oct. 7, Ledge Road, 11:09 p.m.

A 16-year-old male resident was arrested for taking the family car without his parents' consent and for operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Oct. 8, East Wheelock St., 10:55 p.m.

Safety and Security reported to the police that a male was urinating on vehicles parked opposite the Hopkins Center. Upon arrival, the police noted that the subject had fled the scene.

Oct. 9, Choate Road, 6:22 a.m.

An 18-year-old Northeastern University student was arrested for unlawful possession of alcohol after Safety and Security discovered him sleeping in a common room in Brown Hall.
