July 16, Lyme Road, 9:08 p.m.

Police arrested a 20-year-old male sophomore from Indiana on unlawful possession charges, dating from a June 24 incident in Novack Cafe, when a College custodian encountered the student passed out and covered in vomit in the bathroom of Novack that morning. The student was rushed to the DHMC emergency room, where he recovered. Because of the hospital visit, police had to obtain an arrest warrant, rather than arrest the student at the time of the violation.

July 17, Webster Avenue,1:34 a.m.

Two male freshmen were arrested for burglary, theft and unlawful possession of alcohol. Safety and Security notified Hanover Police that the two 19-year-olds had broken into Alpha Xi Delta sorority through a second floor window. The two had apparently taken some food items intended for a barbecue the next day.

July 19, Mass Row, 3:28 p.m.

A Dell laptop, along with a MasterCard, cash and wallet, were reported stolen from a Mid-Mass room. There were no signs of a forcible break-in. The MasterCard was used later that day at the Olympia Sports and Wal-Mart in Lebanon, but police have yet to track down the thief. The case is still under active investigation.

July 19, Tuck Drive, 9:12 p.m.

Safety and Security requested assistance with three unidentified male skateboarders on Tuck Drive who refused to leave the premises. When police arrived, the skateboarders became cooperative and left the premises without incident. Only one of the three was served with a trespass letter, which notifies the individual that another unwanted visit to the campus will be met with a trespass charge.

July 21, South Main Street

3:35 p.m.

A 14-year-old male was taken into custody for shoplifting $60 worth of apparel, including Dartmouth sporting wear, from Traditionally Trendy. The store caught the subject in the process of the theft and notified the police. The case will go to juvenile court, where he faces possible fines or community service.

July 22, Dorrance Place

1:40 a.m.

Hanover Police on routine patrol encountered three males, two 24-year-olds and one 25-year-old, urinating on the sidewalk of Dorrance Place in downtown Hanover. The three, who had been drinking, were arrested for incident exposure.

July 22, Allen and School Streets

1:20 a.m.

A woman, acting "a bit bizarre," was reported yelling at the workers on the Verizon project on the corner of Allen and School Streets. Among her rants, she told the workers to "stop raping middle-aged women." She also reportedly took cones out of the construction truck and blocked the roadway. When police arrived on the scene, they consulted the woman about her behavior and told to move along.

July 23, Mass Row, 1:15 p.m.

Police received a call from Thayer Dining Hall regarding a possible suicide attempt in the female bathroom in the basement. The complainant, a female, reported seeing a razor drop to the floor from a locked stall in the bathroom. When the complainant offered assistance to the unidentified female in the stall, the woman told her to "go away." By the time police arrived, the woman in the stall had left.

July 24, South Main Street

2:03 a.m.

Safety and Security observed a female at Foodstop, possibly was the same woman who allegedly dropped a razor in the Thayer women's bathroom. Once again, by the time police arrived on the scene, the female had already departed.

July 24, Tuck Mall, 11:10 p.m.

Another Dell laptop theft was reported, this time from a room in Streeter, along with $200 in cash. The victim claimed the room was locked but, as in the previous case, there were no signs of forcible entry. Police confirmed that there have been sporadic laptop thefts on campus this summer, although they did not say the thefts are connected.
