April 19, Mass Row, 5:30 p.m.
A 20-year-old female junior reported a stolen red Mongoose 10-speed hybrid model mountain bike, complete with milk crate. She left the bike unlocked outside Hitchcock dormitory, and police believe that the bike may still be on campus.
April 19, Ruddsboro Road, 8:59 p.m.
Two males, aged 17 and 23-years-old, and their vehicle were stranded in a field near Ruddsboro Road in Etna, after a failed attempt at off-roading without permission. Upon a Hanover Police investigation that found beer cans in the rear seat of the vehicle, it was determined that the 23-year-old was intoxicated. As the vehicle had been stranded for a couple hours, the officer could not confirm that the intoxicated individual committed a DUI. The 17-year-old was not intoxicated but was placed in protective custody and released to an adult relative.
April 21, Webster Avenue, 11:33 p.m.
Safety and Security called Hanover police for assistance with a 24-year-old male from White River Junction who was reluctant to leave Kappa Delta Epsilon sorority. After members of the sorority denied the sober male entry to the basement, he apparently made inappropriate comments to the women. Police escorted the individual from the building, but no charges were filed.
April 22, East Wheelock Street, 1:01 a.m.
Hanover Police encountered a 19-year-old female sophomore having trouble with her motor skills on the sidewalk of East Wheelock Street. After a short encounter with the female, which included emotional mood swings and crying, the officer concluded that she was intoxicated and charged her with possession by consumption.
April 22, Webster Avenue, 1:32 a.m.
The officer on late-night patrol noticed a group of four 18-year-old high-school students in a green Honda Accord suspiciously pulling into Greek parking lots on Webster Avenue. After stopping the car in front of Epsilon Kappa Theta sorority and checking their records, the officer concluded that no charges could be filed, but asked the group to leave.
April 22, West Wheelock Street, 9:30 p.m.
Police responded to the scene of an accident in front of 17 West Wheelock Street, involving a 21-year-old male junior driving a Toyota, and a 21-year-old male non-student driving a Saab. Apparently, the Saab had rear-ended the Toyota, but no one was injured. Police initially suspected that the College student had been under the influence of illegal drugs, and arrested him, although he was later released. The police report has yet to be completed, and investigation may still be ongoing.
