Greeks to discuss CFSC's future

The future leadership and governance structure of the Greek system at Dartmouth may finally be decided as early as tonight.

The Coed Fraternity Sorority Council and Greek advisers from the Office of Residential Life are scheduled to present a proposal for changes in the current governance system to Greek house presidents at their first term meeting tonight.

The proposal was created this past weekend during a retreat to Pierce's Inn in Etna, N.H., according to Director of CFS/UGS/SS Administration Deborah Carney. About 15 members of the CFSC, Interfraternity Council, Co-ed Council and Pan-Hellenic Council attended the retreat.

Carney said she was unable to comment on the specifics of the proposal but said that she was very proud of what the students had accomplished and anticipated a positive reception from the Presidents.

During the retreat, the attendees discussed the events of the Spring and Summer terms as well as the role of the CFSC and the various sub-councils. At the completion of the meeting, they
