BASEBALL: The Big Green used a 19-hit ballgame to beat the Crusaders of Holy Cross, 12-2, yesterday.
Dartmouth took an early lead in the first, but then exploded in the third inning as they went through the full lineup and unleashed six hits to drive in five runs.
Additional runs in the fourth and fifth, plus three more in the sixth put the Big Green over the top with an 11-run lead heading into the bottom of the sixth.
Jon Aljancic '97 was king of the hill as he only gave up two runs on 11 hits over eight innings.
On offense, Andrew Spencer '97, Aaron Meyer '00 and Brian Nickerson '00 each had three hits while Meyer recorded 4 RBI.
MEN'S LACROSSE: Andrew Dance '99 had a spectacular day, making 22 saves and aiding his own cause with a goal, as the Big Green defeated UNH, 12-7, yesterday at Memorial Field.
Dance, who scored to give the Big Green a 7-5 lead in the third quarter, was the backstop to a stingy defense, which shut out the Wildcats in two quarters and held UNH to just two goals in the second half.
Brian Merritt '97, Brandon Henry '99 and Scott Watts '97 led Dartmouth with a hat-trick each.
The team is now 4-7.
WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Big Green closed out their regular season with a 6-3 loss to Harvard. The team finished the season 8-10 (3-4 Ivy).
Freshmen Rebecca Dirksen and Michelle Bray won in their singles matches while Bray teamed up with Jenny Lange to earn the doubles point.
