The Big Green lost a double-header to St. Anselm College late yesterday afternoon, 3-0 and 5-4 in extra innings. The loss dropped their record to 5-11 forthe season.
In the first game, Dartmouth managed only two hits as St. Anselm scored all three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning -- all of them crossing the plate with two outs.
In the second game, the Big Green jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning. But St. Anselm rallied back with one run in the fifth and two more in the sixth.
Dartmouth tied it in the seventh, but St. Anselm loaded the bases in the final frame and scored two runs off a two-out Lisa Morin single to end the game.
The Big Green plays Brown on Saturday and Yale on Sunday.
