Men's lacrosse late score

The Yale Bulldogs used a 7-0 explosion in the third quarter to soar past the men's lacrosse team,. eventually beating the Big Green 15-11 yesterday afternoon. The loss dropped Dartmouth to 3-7 overall, 1-3 Ivy.

Both teams played evenly for the first 15 minutes of the game and they were stuck at 5-5 after the first quarter. The Big Green outscored the Bulldogs 3-1 in the second quarter to take an 8-6 lead at the half. But Yale came roaring back with seven unanswered goals to earn a 13-8 advantage heading into the final period.

Senior co-Captain Scott Hapgood carried the Big Green with three goals and four assists on the day. John Whelen '98 ended the day with a hat-trick while Scott Watts '97 and Brian Merritt '97 each tossed in a pair of tallies and one assist each.

Watts Humphrey led the Bulldogs with three goals and two assists, while Brad Graw found the net four times and Brian Shure tossed in three more.

The Big Green return to Memorial Field this Saturday to take on Brown at 1:00 p.m.
