Freshman pitcher Laura Mills threw a lot of softballs over the plate on Saturday, but not a single one touched the aluminum.
That's right, this rookie caught nine batters swinging and gave up one walk as she earned the first no-hitter of her career in Dartmouth's 4-0 victory over Central Connecticut last weekend.
Mills was named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week for her near-perfect performance. She is now 2-3 on the season with a 2.33 earned run average. She has 20 strike-outs in the season.
