Last spring, skier Dave Viele '98 blew out his knee.
This past fall, he blew out his other knee.
Then, this weekend, Viele proceeded to blow out the competition as he won the men's slalom event at the Eastern Intercollegiate Skiing Association Championships at Middlebury.
Viele's victory helped the Big Green clinch the men's two-day alpine competition. It was his second consecutive slalom title of the season.
That's quite a feat considering he's busted both his knees. He's Dartmouth's very own comeback kid.
