The College Golf Foundation announced its five winners of the Rolex/Golf Digest Journalism Award yesterday. Sarah Hood '98, along with two students from other colleges, was named a finalist for the award.
Northwestern's Matthew Johnson and University of Missouri at Columbia's Luke Vilelle received first and second place, respectively.
Hood, a sports writer for The Dartmouth, covered the women's golf team this past year.
Hood plays on the women's ice hockey team and throws shot put, discus and javelin for the track team.
This past winter, Hood was the second-leading scorer with 41 points (18 goals, 23 assists) on the hockey team. She also earned honorable mention All-Ivy.
