Basketball takes to the road

The men's basketball team suffered a tough 72-69 loss last night to the University of New Hampshire.

Although the Big Green had four players score in the double digits, Dartmouth was unable to pull off the win as its record drops to 8-6 overall.

Dartmouth led UNH at the half 30-28, but the Big Green could not find what it took to stop UNH's Matt Alosa, who racked up 24 points on the night. Alosa hit five of his 10 three point attempts.

For Dartmouth, center Brian Gilpin '97 put in 16, while co-Captain Jacob Capps '96 scored 13. Kenny Mitchell '97 followed with 12, and Keith Stanton '97 rounded off the top scorers with 11.

Sea Lonergan '97, who surpassed the 1,000 point mark last weekend, added nine more to his record.

Next up for Dartmouth is Lafayette Saturday.
