Weze Shorts '99 has proven to be a truly outstanding rookie this season as a member on the women's field hockey team, thus earning her this week's athlete of the week award.
"Weze comes off the bench and adds speed and incredible stick skills," Captain Lauren Demski '96 said. "Her eye-hand coordination is remarkable. I'm amazed at the way she can score goals. She just seems to find a way."
Of Short's four goals this season, three have been game winning.
