Soccer teams host double header

The men's and women's soccer teams will both take on the Princeton Tigers tomorrow in a double-header beginning with the men at 12:00 p.m. on Chase Fields.

For the men, this will be their first game since last weekend's loss against Brown, but the Big Green are confident that they can pick up their intensity and give the strong Tiger team a good game.

"Even though we lost against Brown, we played a good game," Captain John Bosacco '96 said. "We are looking to continue on that."

Dartmouth will have to continue without Bosacco, however. The Big Green captain was ejected on a yellow card in last week's game over a controversial call and will have to sit out against the Tigers. Bosacco will rejoin Dartmouth next Wednesday though when the Big Green travel to the University of Massachusetts.

Without the consistent play of their captain, the Big Green will turn to a host of freshmen to lead them on the field. Chris Pedrick '99, who has been out due to an injury, rejoins Dartmouth tomorrow and will look to add some strength in the midfield for the Big Green.

"We are going to have to pressure the ball," Bosacco said. "Princeton is a strong team, so we have to put them under a lot of pressure and countertrack well."

Following the men, the Dartmouth women will take the field at 2:30 p.m. to battle the Tiger women.

Dartmouth, 4-5-1 on the season, has been struggling somewhat with two straight losses against Boston College and Brown.

Against a team the Big Green have consistently dominated, Dartmouth looks to get back on track.

"Each game is going to be a new thing," forward Melissa McBean '97 said. "We have usually beaten them but not handily. There is no guarantee to what's going to happen."
