JohnDwyer '96, captain of the men's cross country team, placed second last weekend at the Boston College Invitational in a time of 23:53 earning him this week's "Athlete of the Week Award."
After losing All-Americans Ted FitzPatrick '95 and Sam Wilbur '95 to graduation, the men's cross country team had huge shoes to fill, but Dwyer has successfully led his team so far this season.
"John has improved steadily since he was a freshman," Coach Barry Harwick said. "He has been running consistently and has done a great job for us."
