Student organizations are now filling out requests for available space in the new Collis Center and in Robinson Hall. Robinson was built to house non-athletic student organizations but much of the first floor and the entire basement is used by the ski teams. And now the Outing Club is building an equipment rental shop in the basement.
A building intended to house student organizations is not the appropriate place to build an equipment rental shop. The ski teams, often a source of College pride, belong in the gym.
Dean of Student Life Holly Sateia and Director of Student Activites Tim Moore should make sure that space in Robinson and Collis is allocated appropriately.
