For the first time in school history, two women will represent Dartmouth on the national level in golf when they compete at the NCAA East Regional Championship, May 13-15 in Baton Rouge, La.
Seniors Tracy Welch and Sarah Davis are among 12 individuals invited to compete along with 18 teams. Both golfers are four-year letterwinners. Seven teams and six individuals will advance to the NCAA Championship scheduled for May 26-29 at the University Course in Athens, Ga.
In order to qualify as a team, Dartmouth would have had to displace one of five squads from the Mid-Atlantic East which includes Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Kentucky and Tennessee.
