Sarah McKnight Devens '96, one of the best female athletes ever to attend Dartmouth, died unexpectedly this summer at her home in Essex, Mass.She was 21.
Let's put the rumors to rest: Darius Rucker, lead singer of the rock group Hootie and the Blowfish, did not attend Dartmouth College. He did not apply to Dartmouth, or even want to come here.
Sarah Devens '96 died Monday afternoon at her home in Essex, Mass., the victim of a gunshot wound to her head. Essex Police Inspector Donald Wolfe said Devens' death was an "apparent suicide," but the Massachusetts state medical examiner has not yet issued an official statement.

President Bill Clinton will deliver the keynote address at the College's 225th Commencement ceremonies on June 11, the White House announced Thursday. Clinton will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree.
