The Saints got on the scoreboard early, thanks to a first period goal from junior Rylee Smith in the first period. With about three minutes to go in the opening segment of the game, Smith found herself on a breakaway and managed to slip a shot past Dartmouth's normally steady goalkeeper Lindsay Holdcroft '14. Smith's goal was assisted by two Saints seniors, Kelly Sabatine and Brooke Fernandez. Even though Dartmouth took more shots than St. Lawrence in the first period with 12 compared to St. Lawrence's five they found themselves trailing on the scoreboard by a single goal.

The Dartmouth men's and women's track and field squads turned in terrific performances Sunday at the Dartmouth Relays at Leverone Fieldhouse, with each team winning their respective meets. This marked the second straight win at the Dartmouth Relays for the men's team and a third straight triumph for the women's squad.

Just two minutes later, the Tigers scored again to take a 2-1 lead. Junior defender Jeremy Goodwin had two shots rebuffed by Grant before he managed to slam a third across the goal line. It was Goodwin's first goal in 43 games.

With 20 seconds remaining in the first period of the golden goal extra time, Dartmouth had a corner kick but seemed to be heading toward another period of extra time. A cross from midfielder Kevin Dzierzawski '13 landed in the box, ricocheting off players from both teams. As the clock ticked down to zero, Skelly controlled the ball and slammed it into the left side of the net past the hands of goalkeeper Sam Kernan-Schloss mid-dive, marking his first goal of the season.

In the 103rd minute of play, a cross to the back post led to a header at the net for the Big Red (14-1, 5-1 Ivy). A block by the defense sent the ball out to the feet of senior forward Tyler Regan, who controlled the ball inside the penalty area. Regan's initial attempt at the goal was also rebuffed, but the rebound came right back to him and he promptly deposited it in the back of the net for the sudden-death game-winner.

The main distinction between athletic trainers and team physicians is their different backgrounds in sports medicine. While athletic trainers typically obtain bachelor's degrees in sports medicine and may obtain more advanced degrees, team physicians are normally doctors in the field of orthopedics, often with a concentration in sports medicine.

In its final tournament of the fall season, the Big Green men's golf team finished as the runner-up at the Ivy League Match Play Tournament in Princeton, N.J. on Sunday. Having edged out close wins against reigning Ivy League champion University of Pennsylvania and No. 1 seed Yale University, the Big Green came up short against Princeton University in the championship round, losing a tight contest to the Tigers by winning one match, dropping three and tying one.

Dartmouth jumped out of the gates quickly, controlling the pace of play from the opening whistle. In the seventh minute, forward Alex Adelabu '15 chased down a long pass from midfielder Robin Alnas '15 and slotted it past Columbia goalkeeper Kyle Jackson.

A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck southern Maine on Tuesday night, according to the United States Geological Survey. Tremors from the quake were felt by students across the Dartmouth campus. The quake occurred at 7:12 p.m., with its epicenter just west of Hollis Center, Maine. Its effects were felt as far south as Boston, including at Harvard University. Many students were unsure if the trembling they felt was from an earthquake or a more localized, mundane source. The quake was originally measured as a magnitude of 4.6 but was later downgraded by the USGS.

Dartmouth controlled the pace of play throughout the game against the overmatched Quakers (2-10, 0-3 Ivy). Dartmouth's consistent defensive effort and great finishing ability propelled the Big Green past Penn.

The Dartmouth women's volleyball team lost twice at home over the weekend, falling to Yale University in four sets on Friday before dropping a match to Brown University in straight sets on Saturday.

On Friday, the Big Green (2-11, 1-2 Ivy) fell to the Quakers (6-8, 1-2 Ivy) in three sets, 25-20, 25-15, 25-18. Penn has now won 12 straight against Dartmouth.

On Friday, the Big Green (2-9, 1-0 Ivy) came back from a two-set-to-one deficit to upend the Crimson (2-9, 0-1 Ivy), 25-22, 20-25, 22-25, 28-26, 15-10. Led by outside hitters Paige Caridi '16 and Alex Schoenberger '15, Dartmouth won its home opener in exciting fashion.
