After capturing the Ivy League title on April 21, women’s golf capped off their historic run at the NCAA golf regionals. The Big Green finished 11th out of 12 teams — outperforming their 12-seed ranking — at the Las Vegas tournament from May 6 to 8.

The Dartmouth men’s and women’s golf seasons are underway, despite snowy weather at the start of the term. Both teams have fared well in their tournaments to date, with the women’s team securing a third-place finish in the Rutgers Invitational and the men’s team taking second at the Columbia Autumn Invitational from April 6 to 7.

On March 5, 13 members of the men’s basketball team voted in favor of joining the Service Employees International Union, Local 560, with only two members voting against joining. The National Labor Relations Board supervised the election and announced the result in Dartmouth College’s Office of Human Resources Tuesday afternoon, located at 7 Lebanon Street, ahead of the Big Green’s matchup against Harvard University.

On Friday night in Leede Arena, the story was much the same as throughout the Dartmouth men’s basketball season. With 8:05 remaining in the first half, University of Pennsylvania’s lead was already 24-11. A revolving door starting lineup and poor shooting to open contests have led to a season-long tradition of starting games slowly for the Big Green. Coach David McLaughlin spoke on the struggles of finishing possessions throughout.

He had just set a pin-down off-ball screen for Dusan Neskovic ’24 and now eyed up the defense of Ivy League’s cream of the crop, the Princeton Tigers.

The fall 2023 Inter-Sorority Council primary recruitment concluded with 288 out of 401 potential new members receiving one bid to seven of the eight ISC-member chapters that participated in primary recruitment. This term, recruitment saw a 71.82% retention rate, as compared to 66.2% in winter 2023 and 64.3% in fall 2022, according to an email statement from ISC president Isabella Fox ’24.

Ivy League play is in full swing, and at the conclusion of the second week of the season, Dartmouth men’s soccer sits alone at the top of the standings. After a long and arduous pre-season that took them across the country playing tough competition, it seems that the team is ready to take on the perpetually competitive Ivy League soccer landscape.
