College restores universal access to dorms during daytime hours

After restricting access to residence halls within students’ House communities at the beginning of fall term, the College will now allow universal student access to residential facilities between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily. Overnight access to residential facilities is still restricted to residents and House members. 





College's capital campaign nears 75 percent of $3 billion goal

With over $2.2 billion raised to date, the College’s “The Call to Lead” capital campaign has been “unprecedented,” according to alumni council member Julie Levenson ’84. The campaign’s $3 billion goal greatly surpasses the $1.3 billion raised in the College’s most recent capital campaign, The Campaign for the Dartmouth Experience, which was launched by former College President James Wright in 2002 and concluded in 2009. 









“Dream big, fight hard”: Warren holds second campaign event at Dartmouth

Framed by the fall foliage of the Bema, Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren spoke to a crowd of approximately 1,100 students, professors and community members Thursday afternoon. Warren, a U.S. senator from Massachusetts, came dressed in a bright red cardigan to signify her support for public education — and brought an air of enthusiasm to match.


CHaD Hero event raises over three-quarters of a million dollars

Last Sunday, over 3,000 people participated in the 15th annual Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hero fundraiser. The event has raised $790,000 thus far, which roughly equals the amount of money raised at last year’s event. The money raised supports the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
