The Run: Dogfight in Connecticut

Dare I speak for most track and field athletes, but the consensus among us is that the outdoor season is our favorite. Runners can’t help but get excited at the thought of transitioning from the grueling indoor season — which involves temperatures close to zero degrees outside, icy running trails and sunsets at 4 p.m. — to the more pleasant outdoor season. To me, the outdoor track season  signifies 75-degree weather, a more spacious 400m track to run around and post-practice swims in the Connecticut River. Track athletes  like to fantasize about the energy the outdoor season brings. However, the reality is that racing outdoors can be just as challenging as racing indoors.




Dartmouth baseball struggles to recover from a losing streak following spring training trip

The Big Green baseball team started its spring break trip strong as they secured their first win against the University of South Florida. The 6-1 victory was followed by a 4-3 loss to split the series. Dartmouth did not regain momentum for the remainder of the trip, falling to the University of Central Florida, Jacksonville University and Princeton University.












Women’s tennis stands at No. 6 in the Ivy League following ECAC Indoor Championship

Last Friday, women’s tennis faced off against defending Ivy League champion Princeton University to commence the ECAC Indoor Championship at the Boss Tennis Center. The Big Green fell to the Tigers 4-3. The team triumphantly came back the next day with an upset against Cornell University 4-1, before ending the championship matches on Sunday with a 4-0 loss to Yale University.
