Corporate recruiting exemplifies Dartmouth’s pre-professional, business minded culture. A career in the corporate world often seems the default expectation for a Dartmouth student, which can be frustrating to those who have no interest in the participating industries. The recruiting process provides an opportunity for many Dartmouth students to connect directly with potential employers — something that does not happen with other career paths, at least not to the same degree. Its extensive influence and culture can quickly become exasperating, and we must remember it isn’t the only option on campus.







Marie Chouinard brings Surrealist art to life through dance

Figures donned in black dance with extraordinary energy to heavy drum beats on screens speckled through the halls of the Hopkins Center for the Arts. The clips preview the upcoming visit of the Compagnie Marie Chouinard, a premier dance troupe from Montreal. A convergence of artistic media and efforts, the performance, pre-show talk and dance master class will bring to life India ink drawings of surrealist artist and poet Henri Michaux.












DEN, KD, Triangle House open for fall term

Free-hanging extension cords, industrial concrete floors and a fully stocked fridge welcome visitors to the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network’s Innovation Center and New Venture Incubator at 4 Currier Place, one of three major construction projects finished in time to open this term. Other projects are the Triangle House, an LGBTQ affinity house, and Kappa Delta sorority’s new physical plant.
