Over the past few weeks, a proposal to change the fundamental meal plan system of Dartmouth Dining Services has garnered a lot of attention. In some ways this proposal is a vast improvement over the current one, but in other aspects it fails to accomplish significant positive change.

Over the past few weeks a number of students have advocated changes in the housing structure, discussing issues such as freshmen dorms and the housing shortage. Substantial change, enacted by students, can occur if we use the resources of the Student Assembly to investigate specific proposals.
This Tuesday, the Student Assembly will begin to vote on a new constitution. This constitution will not include any change in the representational system, even though many students have expressed dissatisfaction with its current form.

Long a staple for women seeking guidance, the Older and Wiser Program for Men, which seeks to acquaint seniors and freshmen, will begin its second year tomorrow night.
At the first Student Assembly meeting of the term last night, an Assembly representative accused president Nicole Artzer '94 of making unconstitutional appointments to her executive committee.
