Slut, creep, tramp, player — these are all words that have been thrown around to describe students who engage in sexual activity at the College, often in conjunction with those who participate in the perceived hookup culture. For years, activists and students on college campuses across the nation have decried the double standard to which men and women are subjected in relation to their sexual activity — or lack thereof. Namely, society often censures women who have casual sex, while men are frequently encouraged to do so.

Following the recent Religion 65 cheating scandal, in which 64 students were charged with honor principle violations, the topic of academic honesty resurfaced in campus discussion.
During the first weeks of this term, my social relevance somehow increased. With fraternity rush impending, I, alongside many other men in my class, was starting to be taken seriously as a potential new member by fraternities. This was a strange reversal from our invisibility to the frat brothers when we hung around in their basements as freshmen — it was almost a throwback to orientation. “What are you taking this term?” and “Where are you from?” were questions I heard far too frequently.
