Last night, the "Good Samaritan" working group released its recommendations to revise the current "Good Samaritan" policy, with the stated aim of better protecting and supporting students. The group plans to receive community input on possible alterations until the end of the week, at which time they will make any necessary changes to the proposal and submit it to Dean of the College James Larimore.

As part of an ongoing effort to revamp alcohol-related policies at Dartmouth, the recently formed "Good Samaritan" committee plans to issue preliminary recommendations for revision at the Student Assembly meeting Tuesday night. The recommendations will be ready for public discussion at that time, Dean of the College James Larimore said in an interview with The Dartmouth.

Students frustrated by the three- to four-week wait for counseling services at Dick's House may soon find relief. The College has started to address the unusually long wait time by looking both at internal readjustments and the possibility of additional budget funding to create new positions.

The American Academy of Arts and Science inducted two former Dartmouth professors, Robert John Fogelin and Christian Wolff, as fellows Tuesday. Fogelin, professor emeritus of philosophy, and Wolff, professor emeritus of classics and music, were elected to the Academy alongside 196 other new fellows and 17 new foreign honorary members.

Racing around Webster Avenue sounds like a typical weekend night for many Dartmouth students, but this Saturday the racing will be done on bicycles and the participants will not be the average weekend partygoer. The cycling club's L'Enfer du Nord cycling race will hit Webster Avenue Saturday, shutting down the street for the duration of the race.

Students taking ski and snowboarding physical education classes this winter will need one extra piece of equipment besides what goes on their feet. Any student enrolled in one of those classes will now be required to wear a ski helmet, the College recently announced.

The Law School Admission Test may affect more than just a candidate's chances of admission to law school. According to a Nov. 8 study conducted by Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, 78 percent of approximately 200 pre-law advisers surveyed said LSAT scores influence the financial aid packages students receive.
