Last Friday, The Dartmouth prematurely published an account of a Gender Research Institute at Dartmouth lecture entitled “Archipelagic Entanglements,” where six panelists spoke about feminist ecology — one of whom was Rutgers University professor Jasbir Puar. The article also reported on an alleged incident in which Matthew Goldstein ’18 accused GRID director Annabel Martín of threatening him with force after he attempted to record the lecture.

It’s been a great year for Dartmouth football, and the Big Green’s success has only continued into the summer. Coming off second place finish in the Ivy League, last week, College Sports Madness named 16 Big Green football players to the 2015 All-Ivy League preseason football teams. Nine Dartmouth players were named to the first team, while three players were named to the second team and four players were named to the third team.

As 2016 presidential election season begins to roll into high gear, New Hampshire is becoming a hotspot for presidential candidates. The Upper Valley has already seen visits from Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Martin O’Malley in the last two months, and there will be an event for Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders' campaign in Hanover on July 29, though he will not be at the event. Republican candidate Rand Paul is planning to visit the Upper Valley on July 25.

As of July 1, solely restraining oneself from texting while driving is not going to cut it in New Hampshire anymore. A new law banning the use of all hand-held electronic devices while driving or momentarily stopped went into effect across the state last Wednesday.

Hank Rogerson ’89 and Jilann Spitzmiller ’89 have been making films together since they met at Dartmouth over 30 years ago. Their newest documentary, “Still Dreaming” (2014) chronicles a group of elderly actors living at a home for retired Broadway performers who put on Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The film will screen at the Hopkins Center this Friday followed by a question and answer session with Rogerson and Spitzmiller.
