Track and field tackles outdoor Heptagonals

Many members of the both the men and women's team came into the Heps with personal or season bests. Notably, Abby D'Agostino '14 set a new record in the 1,500-meter by almost six seconds with a time of 4:11.94, an incredible 13.44 seconds ahead of the runner-up from Princeton, and then went on to beat last year's record of 9:23.64 in the 3,000-meter with a 9:21.79. For her amazing performance, D'Agostino was awarded the most outstanding female track athlete of the meet for the second year in a row.






Lacrosse teams hope to find success this season

With the spring season rapidly approaching, the men's lacrosse team hopes to improve on last season's losing record, while the women's team hopes to build off last season's success, highlighted by a thrilling 6-4 victory over the University of Pennsylvania, when the Big Green clinched the Ivy League Tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.


Men's hockey plays Harvard to tie

With just one month left until the first round of the ECAC Championship, this match marked the second time that Dartmouth played the Crimson. Harvard faced off against the Big Green (11-8-4, 7-6-3 ECAC) on Jan. 12, but the Crimson fell victim to a goal from forward Jesse Beamish '15 that put Dartmouth ahead with a 3-2 victory. The Crimson entered yesterday's game riding an eight-game losing streak.


Track team continues to succeed

Leading the Big Green men was John Bleday '14, last season's indoor 3000-meter individual Ivy League Heptagonal Championships winner, who took the top spot in the same event with a 7:59.33. Jonathan Gault '13 outpaced most of his opponents with a 14:25.81 to grab second place in the 5000-meter run. Connor Reilly '13 continued his trend of strong performances with a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter dash, with a 6.93.
