Dartmouth women's basketball fell 75-52 to the University of New Hampshire at Leede Arena last night. With superstar center Katherine Hanks '03 out due to a knee injury, the Big Green struggled on both ends of the court.

After home and away losses to Harvard by a combined total of five points, the Big Green (2-9 overall, 0-2 Ivy) must pull out both home games to position themselves for a finish in the top half of the League and an outside shot at the Ivy title.

Matt LaBarre '04 was named the 2000 Ivy League Rookie of the Year Wednesday after leading the Big Green men's soccer team in scoring in his first season. LaBarre scored seven goals and had six assists in 17 games, which was also good for third in the Ivy League in scoring.

Damien Roomets '02 pled guilty on Tuesday in Lebanon District Court to two counts of simple assault for his role in a fight outside Topliff dormitory early in the morning of Sept. 24, according to Lower Grafton County Prosecutor George Waldron. Roomets paid a $1,000 fine.

Different parts of the Dartmouth sailing team competed with great success in three different races this past weekend. In adverse weather conditions, the team that fared best was the freshman squad, which won the Nickerson Trophy at the New England Freshman Championship at the University of Rhode Island.
