"We are all really excited about the win," co-captain Grace Dowd '11 said. "We've been putting in a lot of work and it's really exciting that it's finally paying off. We have a lot to work on this week to get ready for next weekend, but overall we feel good. It's a phenomenal opportunity, and I think we have a high chance of making it to Nationals."

Centenari bested all four of his opponents in straight sets on the way to the first-place finish. In the first round, he beat freshman Edwin Zhang of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology 6-4, 6-3. In the next match against Brown University sophomore Mike Hill, Centenari delivered a 6-4, 6-2 win.

Despite a less than stellar overall performance by the Dartmouth men's tennis team this fall season, Xander Centenari '13 came out on top at the Harvard Invitational in Boston this weekend, winning the A draw of the tournament.

The Dartmouth men's and women's cross country teams have performed at a high level thus far, with a combined five first-place team finishes thus far this season. Both team's will look to continue their success this weekend when they travel to the pinnacle of Ivy League cross country, the Heptagonal Championships.

In the three-day Dartmouth Shootout the Big Green hosted Middlebury College, Williams College, Amherst College, Army, Marist College and Stony Brook University. The tournament began on Friday and continued through the weekend, with most finals taking place on Sunday.

In his time at Dartmouth, Jones helped the team to win two Ivy League Championships in 1993 and 1997 and has coached numerous All-Ivy players during his tenure. In addition to working for the Big Green, Jones is also a USPTA teaching professional and serves as the head tennis professional at the Boss Tennis Center and Alan Gordon Pavilion at Dartmouth.

After wrapping up their season two weeks ago with four tough losses to Harvard University, some members of the Dartmouth softball team found the silver lining in their 2010 campaign. On Friday, Hillary Hubert '13, Noelle Ramirez '13 and Kirsten Costello '10 were awarded All-Ivy honors. Hubert was selected as the Rookie of the Year and was also named to the first team as an outfielder. Costello was named to the second team, while Ramirez was picked for the honorable mention team.

In the Fall, the Big Green men's season ended with a loss to Syracuse University in the Northeastern territorial semifinals, 7-6. Dartmouth entered the game riding a 13-game win streak, having defeated all of its Ancient Eight competitors in the first Ivy season. The Big Green dominated its competition, beating Ivy opponents by an average of 55 points per game. This made its loss to the Orangemen all the more shocking.
