Veteran journalist Bruce Wood has covered Upper Valley sports since 1979, first as a reporter for the Valley News, later in Dartmouth’s sports information office and since 2005 as the man behind the Big Green Alert blog. On his site, Wood details every Dartmouth football practice and game, publishing at least one full-length story daily from preseason to the final game. The Dartmouth sat down with Wood to discuss his relationship with the Big Green and preview the 2017 season.
The College’s Good Samaritan policy now covers students impaired by alcohol or other drug use, expanding on its previous policy. The change, in addition to a new drone policy, was announced in a campus-wide email from senior associate dean of student affairs Liz Agosto.
Chief financial officer of the College Mike Wagner sent a campus-wide email Friday afternoon stating that there had been a major data breach in the consumer database at Equifax, the consumer credit reporting agency that the College uses for business services. In his email, Wagner included a statement from Equifax, which said that its Workforce Solutions database had not been breached and, therefore, no data from the College was affected.
The Dartmouth is published every day, Monday through Friday, from September to June, except on federal holidays and College vacations. The Dartmouth publishes the Sports Weekly on Mondays and the Mirror, The Dartmouth’s weekly magazine, on Wednesdays. Over the summer, the paper is published on Fridays.

In the news department, he specialized in political coverage — where he led the coverage of the 2016 presidential election — and Dartmouth's Greek system. He is studying History and Creative Nonfiction.
Annie Ma is a senior studying government and computer science. She was an Executive Editor on the 2016 Directorate. Before joining the directorate, she covered sexual assault policy and also served as a news editor, special issue editor and photographer. Outside of Hanover, she spent her junior summer reporting on education policy in New York City for Chalkbeat and her sophomore spring on the city and photo desks for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
