Indigo, the sister store of Bella, opened in Hanover on Sunday and will differ in its broader selection of clothing in a more prominent location, according to Indigo and Bella co-owner Mia Vogt. Vogt, who wanted to offer a wider variety of clothing lines, said she jumped at the opportunity to purchase the real estate that formerly housed Cynthia Reeves, a contemporary art gallery and Indigo's current site.

The endowment currently funds approximately 20 percent of Dartmouth's annual operating budget. Programs supported by the endowment include financial aid, in addition to academic, athletic, research, recreational and cultural programs, according to the press release.

In the first game, Dartmouth travelled to New York to take on Columbia (8-8, 3-4 Ivy) on Friday. The Big Green came out of the locker room on fire, easily taking the first set and showing flashes of both offensive and defensive brilliance. The team's early play was defined by an efficiency and precision that hadn't been as evident in previous matches, particularly when receiving the serve.

The cover, emblazoned with a partial heart seemingly constructed of blurry, Lego-like pieces, might make some readers skeptic, and the title reminds the reader of a "She's Just Not That Into You" type of literary genre. Diaz' book, however, is a far cry from the American sentimentalism that is often used as a stepping stool to the top of the bestseller list.

Remember the Pixar films of yore? Those sweet, innocent, simple productions free of convoluted plots and overly elaborate settings? Those feel-good movies you could watch again and again and again? Those movies made first and foremost for kids and their imagination? The first two "Toy Story" films, "A Bug's Life," "Monster's Inc.," "Finding Nemo" and "The Incredibles" were all films released before Disney purchased Pixar for $7.4 billion in 2006. You'd be hard-pressed to find a single person who honestly dislikes any one of these films. However, Pixar movies produced after the acquisition do not share the same unanimous respect that the earlier movies inspire.

During the time it took to write this column, I've finished two class readings, posted to a course blog, transferred some money between bank accounts, emailed a half dozen people, checked the weather (twice) and looked at some cool infographics depicting the presidential race. In short, I've done everything but write this article.

Alpha Phi sorority’s “Cupcake Warz” event, benefiting the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, saw huge success this Sunday, Oct. 14. The event, inspired by the Food Network’s hit show “Cupcake Wars”, featured over 60 types of cupcakes baked by both students and community members.
