Each year, big-name bands and world-renowned performers pay a visit to our Big Green Bubble, and students display their many artistic talents.

The Class of 1954 strides onto campus, full of vigor and packed with a melange of memories and expectations. Always a breathtaking spectacle, the transition from winter to summer has bathed Dartmouth in verdant beauty. A 360-degree survey from the center of the Green reveals only the Hopkins Center as "new." More than one-third of those who matriculated in 1950 have returned, several for the first time in a half-century. As we gear up to lead the Class of 2004 to their graduation ceremony on Sunday, a natural topic of discussion is Then and Now.

Ivy League champions in football and hockey, accomplished doctors, politicians and business leaders, members of the Class of 1979 have returned to campus to celebrate their 25th reunion. Lasting from Wednesday to Sunday, the reunion includes an overnight at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, porch-to-porch cocktails on Rope Ferry Road, numerous lectures and panel discussions, and the 1974/1979 Golf Classic at the Hanover Country Club.

Next fall, Tsering Kheyap '04 is going back to middle school -- only this time she won't have to worry about acne, angst or social acceptance. Kheyap plans to teach social studies at a secondary school in the Bay Area through a fellowship from Teach for America.
