Concerned students and mentors concluded Tuesday that students need to do more to protect each other from sexual assault and be more supportive of sexual assault survivors at "The Real Deal," a discussion of sexual assault at Dartmouth. Attendees also discussed issues of consent and the complications that arise with the influence of alcohol or other drugs.

The Connecticut River saw some great action this past week as the Ledyard Canoe Club hosted the United States Canoe Association Marathon Canoe & Kayak National Championships. Racers of all age groups, from six to 83, took part in the Championships that visited Hanover for the first time since 1988.

Mr. Frank Webb '03, in his recent letter to the editor on Monday, Aug. 6, entitled "Remarks of the South Offensive", wrote, "John Stevenson delivered a slight to all of the people south of the Mason-Dixon line.
