This past winter break, four members of the Dartmouth women’s rugby team participated in the National All-Star Competition. Co-captain Yejadai Dunn ’16, Audrey Perez ’17, Milla Anderson ’19, and Kat Ramage ’19 received invitations to compete at Tigertown in South Florida from Dec. 28 through Jan. 3.

The men’s soccer team travelled to Cambridge, Massachusetts, this Saturday to take on Harvard University at Jones Field. After 98 scoreless minutes, Dartmouth (9-4-1, 5-0 Ivy) took the victory against the Crimson (7-6-2, 3-2 Ivy) when Amadu Kunateh ’19 headed in a corner kick from Justin Donawa ’19 to end the overtime period with a 1-0 win over the Crimson.

The men’s soccer team (8-4-1, 4-0 Ivy) lost its first game in over a month, falling 2-0 to the University of New Hampshire (9-3-3, 2-2-1 America East) in a Tuesday night road game. Dartmouth’s win streak was snapped at six games, although each of the team’s four losses this season have come against non-conference opponents as the Big Green remains undefeated in Ivy League play.

The men’s soccer team (8-3-1, 4-0 Ivy) scored two goals in the first half to top Columbia University (8-4-1, 2-2 Ivy) this past Saturday at 2-1. Eduvie Ikoba ’19 and Justin Donawa ’19 notched tallies in the first half, and the defense, led by captain and goalkeeper Stefan Cleveland ’16, held off Columbia’s offense for the remainder of the game.

The Dartmouth men’s soccer team (7-3-1, 3-0 Ivy) extended its win streak to five games this past weekend against the University of Pennsylvania Quakers (2-8-1, 1-2 Ivy) with a 1-0 victory. Captain Stefan Cleveland ’16 recorded his sixth shutout of the season, and the Big Green outshot its opponent 27-10.

The men’s soccer team emerged victorious from a defensive standoff against Yale University (1-9-0, 0-2 Ivy) in New Haven, Connecticut, this past Saturday, taking the game 1-0. The match marked the Big Green’s fourth-straight win and moved Dartmouth (6-3-1, 2-0 Ivy) into a tie for first in the Ivy League with Harvard University (4-4-2, 2-0 Ivy).

Softball captain Kristen Rumley ’15 has had one of the greatest careers in Big Green softball history. She now holds the all-time records for strikeouts with 669 and wins with 46, has pitched the most innings in program history and was the first player to be named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Year for three consecutive years.

It’s probably safe to say that professional rugby player Madison Hughes ’15 has one of the more distinct D-Plans on campus. He has been off-campus for the last two terms of his senior year, completing his assignments while captaining the United States Eagles sevens squad. This past weekend, the Eagles dominated Australia 45-22 to win the Marriott London Sevens Cup final and claim win their first World Rugby HSBC Sevens World Series title.

Women’s hockey captain Karlee Odland ’15 had a unique childhood. She was born and raised on a farm in southern Alberta, Canada, where she said there is a strong agricultural community of around 7,000 people in the region. In the 2011 census, her hometown, Vauxhall, had a population of 1,288. Growing up, Karlee and her brothers had chores just like anyone else, although they were not the usual folding of laundry or taking out the trash.

Stoic and engaged, Alex Adelabu ’15 raises his hand in the Rockefeller Global Leadership Program to contribute his own perspective on intercultural awareness. The Big Green men’s soccer team wrapped up an Ivy League title in the fall, and Adelabu has been keeping busy. Considering his background, he will have a lot to share.

In the summer before she came to play volleyball at the College, Katie Jarrett ’16 was supposed to receive a package from her “big sister” on the team. When it finally arrived in the mail, there was a message from Alex Schoenberger ’15, explaining that Jarrett’s mentor was out of reach for the summer.
