The Dartmouth men and women's golf teams competed in the Ivy League Championships this past weekend at Galloway National Golf Course and Atlantic City Country Club, respectively, with the men's team finishing in fourth place and the women's team finishing last out of seven. Peter Williamson '12 finished first overall individually with a combined total score of 223 strokes. Yale University won both the men's and women's tournaments.

The game against the Big Green was only one in the Haitian team's five-day benefit tour through New England. The team ranked 99th in the world out of 202 teams by FIFA next traveled to Cambridge, Mass., where it beat Harvard University in penalty kicks on Sunday.

While training for the fall season is a major concern of all players, the team is also preparing for its big inter-squad scrimmage, the Green and White Game, at Memorial Field on April 30. Players said the game is a great way to show the campus what the team has been working towards and to show improvement. The teams for the game are determined by a mock draft.

"Penn State was not necessarily the better team, but we prevented ourselves from winning that game," co-captain Nick Downer '11 said. "As a team, we took a lot of penalties, made a lot of mistakes that we can avoid going forward. The effort was great, [but] the performance didn't necessarily stack up to what we hoped it would be."

In its first match as part of the newly-formed College Premier Division, the Dartmouth men's rugby team defeated the University of Delaware on Saturday, 15-5. After playing on new turf at Frasier Field in Newark, Del., players said they were pleased with the win following a long break from match action.

Building off its season-opening win on Saturday, the women's lacrosse team defeated the University of Vermont Wednesday afternoon, 10-6. The win marked head coach Amy Patton's 200th win in her coaching career.

During First-Year Orientation for the Class of 2011, men's squash team co-captain Mike Lewis '11 thought coach Hansi Wiens was "crazy" after Wiens who was then an assistant coach but became head coach in 2008 told Lewis to hop around on one foot for approximately an hour during his first team practice, not even allowing him to hit a ball.

Friday's victory against the Quakers (7-12, 1-4 Ivy) was the Big Green's first League win of the season. Dartmouth (5-14, 1-4 Ivy) led by one point at halftime, and its victory was not guaranteed until the team hit several key free throws down the stretch.

The Dartmouth men's ice hockey team is embracing the holiday spirit this year by sponsoring a charity toy drive on Dec. 12, which will benefit Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The Big Green men's club rugby team defeated Harvard University 31-0 to secure the Ivy League Championship for the fourth consecutive year last weekend in Cambridge, Mass. The game marked the 11th time in the past 14 years that the Big Green has won the championship and attained a perfect 7-0 record for the season.
