The men’s hockey team lost a heartbreaker in overtime on Friday on the road against Princeton University 5-4, before losing to No. 6 Quinnipiac University on Saturday 3-1.
The men’s basketball team carried its strong play from the end of last season, when it won three of its last four games, into its new one, which kicked off on Sunday against Lyndon State College. The Big Green (1-0) topped 100 points for the eighth time in program history, dominating Lyndon State (0-1) 106-61.
The men’s hockey team traveled to the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., where it lost two close games to Ivy League rivals Princeton University in overtime and Brown University in the Liberty Invitational tournament.
"Obviously we are disappointed with the outcome of the game," goalie Tatiana Saunders '15 said. "It was an important game and we suffered a tough loss. Despite the outcome, we are going to remain positive and continue to work hard everyday. We have a good opportunity against Brown to regain our momentum back."
This weekend the men's lightweight, heavyweight and women's crew teams traveled to the Head Of the Charles races in Cambridge, Mass., where they rowed against some of the nation's best competition at the largest two-day rowing event in the world.
The men improved to 4-0 in Ivy League play by leading a balanced attack featuring nine tries by nine different players.
