Dartmouth (12-5, 5-2 Ivy) kept the score close for the majority of the game, never trailing by more than two goals until the latter parts of the second half. After playing to a 3-3 draw in the first half, the Orange outscored the Big Green, 12-2, after halftime to claim the victory.

The game did not disappoint, as the two teams were tied, 7-7, with under 10 minutes to go, when Dartmouth (9-2, 5-0 Ivy) used two late goals to pull ahead for a 9-7 victory. With the win, Dartmouth seized sole possession of first place in the Ivy League, dropping Penn (6-5, 4-1 Ivy) to second.

Although Cornell had averaged nearly 15 goals per game on the season going into the contest, the Big Green proved that it could surmount Cornell's skilled offensive attack and elevated speed of play and the Dartmouth women rose to the challenge of a fast, offensive game.

Playing in only its third away game of the season, Dartmouth jumped out to an early lead that it maintained for the entire game. Liz Calby '14 started and ended a 4-0 run in the first seven minutes of the game with goals by Kirsten Goldberg '12 and Sarah Plumb '12 providng the points in between. All four goals were scored in under three minutes.

The members of the No. 10 Dartmouth women's lacrosse team stayed busy over spring break, remaining in Hanover to build and refine their skills. The strenuous practices in unseasonable heat bore no resemblance to the typical March vacation, but they proved advantageous for the Big Green, as the team won four of its five contests over spring break. Dartmouth now boasts a 6-1 (2-0 Ivy) record on the season.

The Dartmouth's men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Cornell University this weekend to compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Big Green's top competitors will leave on Friday and compete on Saturday and Sunday.

Dartmouth's men's and women's track teams traveled to Boston University this weekend to participate in the Terrier Classic, and the Big Green had several outstanding performances on the weekend. Held on the banked BU track, the meet attracts some of the top talent in the Northeast.

The Dartmouth Nordic ski team traveled to Rumford, Maine this past week to participate in the U.S. National Championships, a competition featuring skiers from across the country and ranging in age from early teens to 30s.

Dartmouth (3-12, 0-0 Ivy) brought an energy to the start of the game that allowed the Big Green to pull ahead early. Although Dartmouth's lead never exceeded 10 points, it sported an eight-point cushion after the initial 20 minutes. Captain David Rufful '12 commented that the first half exhibited some of the Big Green's best basketball of the season.

With its hopes of finishing with a winning record Ivy League record hanging in the balance, the Dartmouth women's volleyball team split back-to-back five-set matches on the road this weekend against Cornell University and Columbia University. The Big Green (14-9, 6-6 Ivy) maintained its fourth-place position in the League with the results, two games ahead of Harvard University with two games left to play.

With a record-breaking performance by Madeline Baird '12, the Dartmouth women's volleyball team defeated Princeton University in Hanover on Friday night. Baird shattered the Dartmouth all-time kills record of 1,180 kills held by Anne Murray '00 and now has 1,208 kills in her collegiate career.
