Review: ‘Moonfall’ Offers a Ridiculously Fun Time

Let’s get one thing straight: “Moonfall” is a ridiculous movie. From poster promotions featuring various angles of a gigantic moon, to its absolutely wild explanation of what the moon “really is,” to its effective, self-descriptive title, “Moonfall” is a showcase of the dramatic excess that characterizes apocalyptic movies. The film demonstrates what happens when disaster director extraordinaire Roland Emmerich has fun. 






Student mental health declined at start of pandemic, Dartmouth study shows

A paper authored by Dartmouth researchers and published this month found that the COVID-19 pandemic increased symptoms of stress during the spring 2020 lockdown. The paper was based on data collected from 217 participants — members of the Class of 2021 — by a smartphone application called StudentLife. 






Students disappointed, ‘not surprised’ by restricted Commencement plans

Reactions have been mixed in the wake of the College’s decision to hold an in-person Commencement for the Class of 2021, restricted only to graduating students. Members of the Class of 2020, who will now have to wait at least through this year to celebrate together after their in-person ceremony was postponed indefinitely, said they had expected the announcement.

The College will hold an in-person commencement ceremony for the Class of 2021 in early June, though only graduating students will be invited to attend. An in-person commencement ceremony for the Class of 2020, which was previously rescheduled for this June, has been postponed indefinitely.
