Dartmouth coach escorted out after punching Harvard Stadium press box window

Defense quality control coach Dion King was escorted from today’s football game against Harvard University after he punched a hole through a window in the press box. Dartmouth lost the game 25-22.

The incident occurred after Harvard recovered a fumbled Dartmouth punt, eventually leading to a touchdown in the second quarter. Dartmouth was ahead 14-0. King was escorted out of Harvard Stadium by security.

In an email statement, head coach Buddy Teevens apologized for King’s actions, saying King “let his emotions get the best of him.”

“Dion and Dartmouth Football are terribly sorry for his actions and any harm caused by them,”Teevens wrote. “We hold ourselves to high standards, and in this instance we failed to conduct ourselves appropriately."

According to the Washington Post, an audience member sitting below the window suffered a neck laceration from the broken glass.
