To the Editor:
Kudos to the writer, Deborah Wassel '07 ("Winter Woes, Begone," Jan. 6). As a kid in Hanover '54-'58 and a Dartmouth grad of '66, I have to say I shared a different perspective. Winter was the greatest time on campus.
Holed up! Hardly. The shorter days passed all too quickly, and on two or three afternoons we hitch-hiked to the Skiway to take advantage of no charge skiing (yes, I was on the Winter Sports Council).
I'm in Surf City now, but would I come back for winters in Hanover? You bet. Thanks for your coverage.
