Seiterle ‘98 wins gold for Canada

Dartmouth alumnus Dominic Seiterle ‘98 of Canada won the gold medal in the men’s eight in rowing at the 2008 Beijing Olympics on Sunday. The Canadian boat, which was heavily favored, led throughout the race and finished in a time of 5:23.89. Traditional rowing power Great Britain finished in 5:25.11 to claim the sliver medal, and the United States rounded out the podium by posting a time of 5:25.34 for the bronze. More »

Karr’s Chronicles: Forgotten Innocence

Obviously, this summer has been a “golden season” of sorts for the sporting world, the likes of which only come around every four summers or so. It started with the NBA playoffs and then went on to include the Euro 2008 Championship in soccer, a baseball playoff race that’s heating up, and of course the thus far fantastic Beijing Olympics.
